Job Overview

The employer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Virginia sites in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. We specialize in packing potatoes and onions for major supermarket chains across Australia. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and addressing any mechanical issues that arise to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure minimal disruption to production.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of equipment failure.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery is operating at optimal efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure that maintenance work is performed in compliance with Mitolo Group standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical fitting or a similar field.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
